Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Data Privacy Manager in New York/Whippany to lead enterprise privacy governance, risk, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The role partners with senior stakeholders across business and control functions to embed privacy-by-design into strategy, transformation programs, products, and services.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding enterprise privacy, regulatory compliance and data governance in a financial services setting.
• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology and Operations.
• Experience implementing privacy governance frameworks, risk assessments and regulatory programs.

Responsibilities

• Partnership with the local business unit to ensure successful implementation of data & records governance frameworks as appropriate to the needs of the business unit.
• Provision of guidance on records classification, retention, storage, retrieval and disposal to business units.
• Monitoring local data quality and records metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Identification of opportunities for data improvement and optimisation.
• Partnership with the relevant business unit to support their data priorities and ensure data decisions are embedded in BAU change programs.
