Job summary

Armada is hiring a Data Center Structural Engineer to own the structural thread from site due diligence through design, certification, fabrication, and installation for MDC deployments worldwide. The role demands autonomy, travel, and coordination with fabricators and engineers across regions.

You will develop in-house structural analyses for new Armada products, validate designs, and ensure compliance with diverse building codes, while guiding projects from concept to certified handoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; PE/SE license or international equivalent.
• 5–7 years hands-on structural analysis and design for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Experience with structural analysis/design software and building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI) and international codes.
• Ability to work with high autonomy and self-direction.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% to project sites and fabrication locations worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Identify, vet, and liaise with domestic/international structural engineering vendors and certifying engineers on project sites to ensure compliance before work begins.
• Own early-stage structural due diligence for new sites: evaluate seismic/wind/snow/soil conditions and local code requirements.
• Develop and maintain template structural designs for MDC components to enable repeatable, scalable deployment.
• Perform in-house structural analysis and design for Armada products and first-of-a-kind site conditions.
• Oversee fabrication, installation, and commissioning; ensure built work matches certified design across regions.
• Maintain governance, site-readiness checklists, and certification workflows; sign off on MDC/site readiness.
