Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services team is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support our global data center and edge networks. You will work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and software engineers to build scalable network infrastructure.

This role emphasizes hands-on deployment, automation, and driving efficiency across data centers worldwide. Candidates should have experience with data center networking, AI-assisted deployments, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience deploying large-scale data center networks.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Experience leveraging AI to drive deployment efficiency.
• Ability to travel 25–40%.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale data center networks across multiple geographic locations.
• Research, develop & deploy technologies and network topologies to scale data centers and optimize deployments.
• Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving efficiency, innovation, and standardization of data centers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop new features and influence future networking.
• Influence future iterations of data center and network designs for seamless integration of new infrastructure.
• Actively participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to develop tooling to provision, manage, monitor and troubleshoot networks.
• Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
• Develop automation to drive consistency and efficiency in network design, deployment, and operations.
• Perform site visits and validate cabling infrastructure and builds according to Meta standards.
