Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services team seeks a Network Engineer to design and deploy large-scale data center networks across global locations. You will partner with software and construction teams, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive automation to improve reliability and efficiency.

Travel 25–40% will be required as projects demand.Candidates should have a strong background in data center networking and AI-driven deployment improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience using AI to improve deployment efficiency, reliability, and speed.
• Expertise in designing and deploying large-scale data center networks.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Understanding of data center startup, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on large data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design engineering and implementation of large-scale data center networks across multiple geographic locations.
• Research, develop & deploy numerous technologies and network topologies to evolve and scale data centers.
• Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving efficiency, innovation, and standardization of data centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop new features and influence future networking.
• Influence future iterations of data center and network designs to ensure seamless integration of new infrastructure.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to develop tooling to provision, manage, monitor and troubleshoot networks.
• Create network design packages for deployment teams with cross-functional inputs.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
• Develop automation to drive consistency and efficiency in design, deployment, and operations.
• Perform site visits with construction, design architects, and contractors to validate cabling and network builds.
