Job summary
SMC Corporation is seeking a Global IT Data Center Engineer to ensure data center infrastructure availability, performance, and uptime across on-campus and remote office locations. You will work with an advanced team to support IT services, security, and disaster recovery.
The role requires hands-on experience with VMware, Windows/Linux servers, storage, and data protection platforms. You will participate in architecture, deployment, and maintenance of data centers, while handling incident
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant IT enterprise networking experience.
- Experience with VMware vSphere and multiple data centers/networks.
- Experience deploying Windows Server 2012 and newer.
- Experience with data protection/storage platforms (Rubrik, Dell).
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google).
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for current and future enterprise systems.
- Adhere to security policies and standards.
- Participate in IT infrastructure implementations, forecasting, and maintenance.
- Manage networks, virtualization, storage, and monitoring systems.
- Deploy servers and virtual environments (VMware, Windows, Linux).
- Document knowledge base and disaster recovery procedures.
- Assist in architecture design and facility buildouts.
- Support data protection platforms and backup/recovery operations.
