Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Dangerous Goods Lead to own DG policies and processes across air, ocean, and ground transportation. You will serve as the regulatory SME, drive audits, and partner with regulators and partners to ensure safe, scalable operations.

The role requires strong regulatory expertise, the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable processes, and willingness to travel for regulatory coordination and audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in compliance, audit, or risk management.
• 5+ years managing air, ground, and ocean dangerous goods shipments.
• 3+ years with U.S. and international DG regulations and import/export compliance.
• Current certifications: DOT, IATA, and IMDG.
• Experience working with regulators and industry groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve DG policies, procedures, and controls for air, ocean, and ground transportation.
• Serve as SME on IATA, 49 CFR, IMDG and related U.S. and international DG regulations.
• Audit processes and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Drive scalable, metric-based improvements to reduce risk and support growth.
• Build relationships with regulators, industry associations, and key partners.
• Partner with senior leadership to align policy, risk posture, and operational controls.
• Support new business opportunities with clear regulatory guidance.
