Focus, a leading global logistics provider, seeks a Customs Entry Writer Specialist in Kansas City, MO to prepare and process U.S. customs entries in accordance with CBP and PGA regulations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely service for import clients. You will collaborate with customers, government agencies, carriers, and internal teams to ensure shipments clear customs efficiently.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Customs Brokerage or Customs Entry experience.
• Working knowledge of CBP regulations and PGA requirements.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, review, and process customs entries for import shipments in CBP/PGA compliance.
• Manage end-to-end customs clearance for house and direct shipments.
• File ISF accurately and within deadlines.
• Review invoices, packing lists, and shipping docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Classify products using HTS and maintain classification databases.
• Monitor shipments and communicate status to customers.
• Coordinate with CBP, PGAs, carriers, and forwarders to resolve clearance issues.
• Arrange freight releases and final delivery for non-routed shipments as needed.
• Process Post Summary Corrections and other post-entry activities.
• Maintain accurate records and stay current on regulations.
