Job summary

Laufer Group International seeks a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our Customs Brokerage team in the United States. You will prepare and process U.S. customs entries, ensuring CBP and PGA compliance while delivering exceptional service to import customers.

You will collaborate with clients, government agencies, ocean carriers, and internal teams to ensure shipments clear customs accurately and efficiently, handling ISF filings, HTS classifications, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Customs Brokerage or Customs Entry experience.
• Familiarity with CBP regulations and PGA requirements.
• ISF preparation experience preferred but not required.
• HTS classification, import documentation, and compliance knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customs entries for imports in compliance with CBP and PGA regulations.
• Manage end-to-end customs clearance for Laufer and non-Laufer shipments.
• File ISF accurately and within deadlines.
• Review invoices, packing lists, and shipping docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Classify products using HTS and maintain product classification data.
• Monitor shipment status and communicate with customers on docs, exams, holds, and clearance.
• Coordinate with CBP, PGAs, carriers, and partners to resolve issues.
• Maintain records and ensure timely, compliant customs transactions.
