Job summary

CV International in Atlanta is seeking a Customs Brokerage Specialist to ensure timely processing of import transactions, prepare and submit entries, and coordinate with carriers and clients.

You will apply knowledge of CBP rules, HTS and commodity classifications, manage multiple shipments with accuracy, and communicate clearly with internal teams and customers while upholding our service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ocean and air customs brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of CBP rules and regulations, HTS classification, and commodity classification.
• Familiarity with transportation modes including air freight, LCL/FCL, and domestic trucking/rail.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• General knowledge of global geography and international trade in forwarding.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely customs entries for prompt shipment release.
• Review and collect required commercial documentation before cargo arrival.
• Verify ISF data elements for accuracy and timely filings per regulations.
• Track shipments with airlines, ocean carriers, and third-party providers; update systems.
• Coordinate final delivery with clients and trucking providers as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing; support AR and collections.
• Generate and distribute internal/external reports as required.
• Proactively communicate shipment issues, delays, or holds to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party service providers.
• Deliver prompt, professional customer service and identify growth opportunities.
