Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Customs Brokerage professional to ensure smooth customs process flow and accurate data handling across import/export operations. The role focuses on tracking, reporting, and timely client billing while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates excel in a fast-paced logistics environment, possess knowledge of brokerage procedures, and demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of customs brokerage process
• Understanding of customs legislation with regards to classification, valuation and origin
• Understanding of ocean, road and air documentation process
• Pro-active approach with strong organizational and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Custom files and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing
• Understand all elements of the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and interpret information
• Transfer customs declaration information into the customs entry system
• Assist with verification of customs declaration information and submission to customs authority
• Ensure compliance at all times to regulations
