Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Customs Brokerage Lead Agent to join our team in Florida. The role focuses on ensuring smooth import/export processes, accurate data handling, and timely client billing within a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will work under the Customs Brokerage Lead, Supervisor and Manager reporting structure, contributing to high-quality service and compliance. Strong Excel/Word skills and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of brokerage experience.
• Good knowledge of customs brokerage process and customs legislation, especially classification, valuation and origin.
• Understanding of ocean, road and air documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
• Track and Trace Custom files and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
• Understand and interpret the Import/Export Desk Level Operating Procedures.
• Transfer customs declaration information into the customs entry system.
• Assist with verification of customs declaration information and submissions to authorities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
