Job summary

Northern Trust Corp. is seeking an Account Manager for the Global Financial Operations team in the Chicago area. You will act as the day-to-day client contact for family offices and their representatives, coordinating with internal partners to resolve issues and drive growth opportunities.

You will oversee transaction processing, client invoicing, and fee reviews, while maintaining up-to-date documentation and a strong client network across the bank.

Qualifications

• Strong background in the global custody industry.
• Experience interacting with demanding clients or prospects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to own and resolve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted client relationships through engagement and timely delivery.
• Respond to client instructions and resolve queries promptly.
• Coordinate with internal partners to resolve issues and drive solutions.
• Oversee daily client activity, including transaction processing and invoicing.
• Inform clients of changes to processes and procedures adopted by Northern Trust.
• Open/close accounts and manage online client system access requests.
• Maintain documentation/files for each client relationship.
