Job summary
The Carlyle Group seeks an exceptional Application Support Engineer to provide hands-on day-to-day user application support for Carlyle’s Global Credit Platform. The role focuses on troubleshooting, monitoring platform performance, maintaining configurations, and coordinating with engineering and business stakeholders to enable reliable operation of critical financial applications.
Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in IT support, strong SQL and DB/app server knowledge, and experience with vendor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in computing or quantitative discipline, or equivalent, preferred
- Minimum 4 years of relevant IT experience in customer service or helpdesk/application support
- Experience providing end-user/business-facing white glove support
- Experience with application administration and coordinating with infrastructure/development teams
- Finance services experience preferred (credit/private equity)
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Experience with multiple application and staffing vendors
Responsibilities
- Hands-on day-to-day user application support
- Ensure issues are addressed within SLA timeframes
- Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes
- Maintain relationships with business stakeholders
- Communicate with external vendors when issues arise
- Monitor system activities to ensure smooth operation
- Document issues and resolutions in Confluence knowledge base
- Transition new systems or upgrades to production environment
