Job summary

The Carlyle Group seeks an applications support engineer to help maintain and optimize financial business applications in a fast-paced environment. You will support Carlyle's Global Credit segment and work with the technology delivery team to ensure adoption and operation of key systems.

Ideal candidates will handle user requests, troubleshoot issues, monitor platform performance, and perform routine administration for proprietary and vendor software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computing or quantitative discipline, or equivalent.
• Experience delivering end-user/business-facing white glove support.
• Strong SQL, databases, and application/server knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring issues are addressed within specified SLA timeframes.
• Troubleshooting issues and identifying/remediating root causes.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders.
• Communicating with external vendors when issues arise.
• Proactively monitoring system activities to ensure smooth operation.
• Identifying recurring production items and leading automations/health checks.
• Maintaining configurations for applications, servers and environments.
• Enforcing standards for data, security, and operations.
• Collaborating with GTS engineering on new system upgrades to production.
• Documenting issues and resolutions in Confluence.
