Job summary

Carrier is seeking a senior professional to lead VAVE and value-engineering initiatives that reduce material costs across engineering, sourcing, and operations. You will evaluate BOMs and design-for-cost opportunities, coordinating cross-functional teams and cost-out projects with global sites.

The role requires strong program management, cost analytics, and collaboration across functions, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 7+ years in material productivity or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in material productivity.
• 2+ years of experience with Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE), product cost reduction, material cost optimization, or cost savings initiatives.
• Up to 25% travel to global sites to lead and facilitate cost reduction events

Responsibilities

• Champion and lead VAVE activities and global cost reduction initiatives across Carrier’s multiple business units.
• Plan, lead and facilitate the execution of VAVE cost events, coordinating, and indirectly leading resources across the global business units to achieve material productivity targets for the organization.
• Provide subject-matter expertise in product design for value and cost, and assist in the evaluation, scoping, and maturing of key cost-out projects as identified during the year.
• Deliverables will include developing a project pipeline process of vetted, ready-to-implement cost-savings opportunities for the business.
