Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, seeks a cost champion to lead VAVE initiatives across multiple business units. You will influence engineering, sourcing, operations and product teams to improve material costs of parts, subassemblies and finished goods.

The role requires 7+ years with an associate’s degree or 3+ years with a bachelor’s in a related field, and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience in material productivity or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in material productivity.
• 2+ years of experience with Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE), product cost reduction, material cost optimization, or cost savings initiatives.
• Up to 25% travel to global sites to lead and facilitate cost reduction events.

Responsibilities

• Champion and lead VAVE activities and global cost reduction initiatives across Carrier’s multiple business units.
• Plan, lead and facilitate the execution of VAVE cost events, coordinating, and indirectly leading resources across the global business units to achieve material productivity targets for the organization.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in product design for value and cost, and assist in the evaluation, scoping, and maturing of key cost‑out projects as identified during the year.
• Deliverables will include developing a project pipeline process of vetted, ready‑to‑implement cost‑savings opportunities for the business.
