Job summary

Samyang America, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel to support legal, compliance, contract, and governance activities across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM.

The role requires strong business judgment and the ability to partner with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and Korea headquarters to manage risk while enabling growth. This position focuses on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining governance and KPI discipline across

Qualifications

• 8+ years in corporate legal, contracts, compliance, or in-house practice.
• Experience reviewing and managing commercial contracts, vendor and customer agreements, NDAs, and related documents.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, manufacturing, distribution, or regulated industries preferred.
• Ability to work with external counsel, Korea headquarters, cross-functional teams, and regional stakeholders across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM.
• Bilingual English/Korean capability required.

Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements.
• Legal Risk and Compliance: Identify risks and provide business-oriented guidance.
• Corporate Governance: Support governance, approvals, policy management, and records.
• Regulatory and Import Support: Advise on labeling, advertising, import, and cross-border compliance.
• Dispute and Claims Management: Coordinate with teams and counsel on disputes and claims.
• Legal Operations and KPI Discipline: Maintain trackers, reports, and matter prioritization.
• Business Partnership: Support Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Leadership.
