Job summary

Essenseof Australia in Lenexa, Kansas, seeks a Corporate Controller to lead the accounting function, drive timely close, and ensure accurate financial reporting with strong controls.

You will manage the accounting team, partner with FP&A and treasury, oversee audits and tax compliance worldwide, and implement improvements that scale with a fast-growing, global business. CPA preferred; US GAAP expertise essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience with at least 5 years in management.
• ERP experience required; NetSuite accounting software preferred.
• International business accounting and public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong US GAAP technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience managing banking relationships, including foreign currency and covenants.
• Hands-on leadership and coaching of accounting professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including month-end close and year-end audit.
• Direct day-to-day management of the Accounting team and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure policy compliance and asset safeguarding.
• Lead tax reporting/compliance globally and engage with external auditors.
• Collaborate with FP&A to map budget vs. actuals and analyze variances.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team to scale with company growth.
• Drive close efficiency, variance reporting, and action planning with departments.
