Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking a Controls Engineer in California to develop quotes, design electrical schematics, and program PLC/HMI systems for LNG and LH2 applications.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and willingness to travel to customer sites worldwide. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI, and FactoryTalk is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years electrical engineering experience.
• Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI experience required.
• AutoCAD experience required (Electrical schematics, layouts).
• Experience with control panel design and component sizing.

Responsibilities

• Develop controls engineering quotes and proposals.
• Create Functional Specification documentation.
• Design electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
• Select components and create Bills of Materials for procurement.
• Testing and troubleshooting panels and control systems.
• Programming PLC, HMI, and Historian systems.
• Work with customers to integrate controls solutions.
• Travel to customer sites for field startup and integration.
