Job summary
Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer in California to develop quotes, design control systems, and support customers in LNG, LH2, and industrial gas applications.
The role involves designing schematics, selecting components, programming PLC/HMI, testing, traveling to sites, and collaborating with customers to deliver robust controls solutions.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering required.
- 7–15 years of electrical engineering experience in the listed responsibilities.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI is required.
- Experience with control component selection and control panel design.
- Ability to travel to customer sites worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop Controls Engineering quotes and proposals based on customer project needs.
- Create Functional Specification documentation.
- Design Controls Engineering drawings, including electrical schematics and panel layouts.
- Outline drawings and component details for electrical systems.
- Select component parts and materials and create Bills of Materials.
- Testing and troubleshooting panels and control systems.
- Programming of PLC systems (FactoryTalk View Studio).
- Programming of HMI systems (PanelView, FactoryTalk View SE).
- Programming of Historian systems (FactoryTalk Historian).
- Work with customers to integrate controls solutions into their systems.
- Ability to travel to customer sites for field startup and integration.
