Job summary

ThinkWell is seeking a Global Controller to lead the full finance and accounting function across multiple countries from a US-based remote position. You will manage the enterprise-level month-end close, US and international payroll, VAT and tax filings, and ensure compliance with government contract requirements.

You will build the chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online, oversee AP/AR, treasury, and cost allocation, and partner with the CFO/Finance Director to drive policy improvements across

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including international and multi-entity accounting.
• Master’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
• Experience in both project accounting and corporate accounting.
• Experience in government contract management with different contract types.
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience and indirect-cost calculations.
• Experience overseeing US payroll and international payroll.
• Experience managing AP, AR, and treasury.
• Experience building teams, processes, and policy improvements.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close at the enterprise level across all offices and US entity.
• Oversee accounting, taxation, and reporting for international project offices.
• Process US payroll and oversee international payroll for compliance.
• Oversee VAT and tax reporting and procurement at each site.
• Manage cash, FX exposure, and banking relationships.
• Build and manage the chart of accounts in QBO and apply indirect costs.
• Support contract billing, budgets, and audits across government contracts.
• Collaborate with site F&A Directors and CFO/Finance Director on US books.
• Supervise and develop international finance and accounting coordinators.
• Develop new processes and document policies for consistency.
