Job summary

ScentAir is seeking a seasoned Global Controller to lead the worldwide controllership and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across the U.S. and international entities.

The role partners with the CFO and senior leadership to drive process improvements, ERP upgrades, and scalable controls. You will mentor seven direct reports and own the close, consolidation, and financial strategy for growth across regions.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license.
• Big 4 public accounting experience.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting & controllership experience.
• Experience leading a global or multi-entity accounting organization.
• Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting knowledge.
• Strong experience with close, consolidation, audit, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation.
• Strong inventory and cost accounting experience.
• Experience with international entities and intercompany accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, systems, and controls rather than simply maintain them.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting and controllership across all ScentAir entities.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close; target 5 business days.
• Ensure accurate financial statements, consolidation, and reporting.
• Maintain balance-sheet integrity with reconciliations and reserves.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and global policies.
• Improve working-capital visibility: AR, inventory, AP/GRNI.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, revenue recognition.
• Lead technical accounting for complex transactions.
• Govern standard costing, cost rolls, BOMs, overheads.
• Improve controls for inventory, cycle counts, landed costs.
• Partner with Ops and FP&A on cost, COGS, inventory reporting.
• Drive finance-system improvements: ERP, Salesforce, Power BI.
• Establish data governance across COA, entities, products.
• Ensure reports reconcile to one source of truth.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve data.
