Job summary

True Classic is seeking a Controller to own the global controllership across accounting, treasury, tax and compliance. You will ensure integrity of financial statements, drive the close, and build systems, controls and a team to scale with growth.

You will report to the CFO and lead an accounting organization including an Assistant Controller, payables, payroll, staff accountants and offshore partners, with a hybrid in-office arrangement based in Calabasas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience.
• Deep inventory and cost accounting expertise with standard vs. actual analysis.
• Duties and trade accounting including duty deferral and refund exposure.
• Order to cash ownership across marketplaces and wholesale.
• Strong US GAAP technical accounting knowledge.
• Hands on NetSuite expertise and systems collaboration.
• Experience leading treasury, payables, receivables and payroll at scale.
• Use of AI in accounting workflows with accuracy controls.
• Hybrid team building across onshore and offshore resources.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial statements across entities.
• Close monthly, quarterly and annual cycles with clear owners.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and local statutory requirements.
• Produce detailed channel P&L including product cost and overhead.
• Own inventory costing, reserves and cycle counts.
• Manage revenue recognition across channels (ASC 606).
• Oversee treasury, cash management and funding relationships.
• Lead payables, receivables, payroll and equity accounting.
• Oversee tax, audit, compliance and statutory filings.
• Drive system controls, automation and AI integration.
