Job summary

PRA Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Global Controller to lead worldwide controllership, financial reporting, tax, and revenue accounting. Reporting to the CFO, you will direct multi-country accounting operations, ensure US GAAP and SEC compliance, and drive transformation through processes, automation, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of leadership in a large, global financial services organization.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA required; MBA preferred.
• Extensive experience with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting and internal controls.
• Experience managing external audits and prior public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ERP platforms and financial processes.
• Proven track record leading global, multi-cultural accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting functions including GL, consolidations, reconciliations, multi-entity accounting.
• Oversee SEC reporting (Form 10-K/10-Q/8-K) and required disclosures.
• Provide leadership for technical accounting, revenue recognition, and new business initiatives.
• Drive tax accounting, planning, and collaboration with external advisors.
• Manage external audits and liaise with Audit Committee and senior leadership.
• Foster finance transformation, process automation, and strong internal controls.
• Develop and mentor a multi-location accounting team.
