Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Global Controller for a nonprofit client focused on social impact. You will lead all financial operations, ensure GAAP and IFRS compliance, manage grants accounting, and oversee the NetSuite ERP implementation.

Public accounting experience is a plus, and strong leadership is essential in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The role requires 5+ years in senior accounting or financial management, a degree in accounting or finance, and professional certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee the global accounting operations including control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all financial reports comply with current GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
• Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
• Manage the organization’s NetSuite system.
• Perform and oversee grants accounting, ensuring compliance with funders' financial requirements and regulations.
• Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
• Manage the preparation of the company’s budget and financial forecasts.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Global Controller to join our non-profit client. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and grants accounting to take on a leadership role within our global organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, including the implementation and management of our NetSuite system, monthly reporting, and technical accounting. Qualifications

• 3. Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
• 4. A thorough knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and grants accounting is essential.
• 5. Experience with NetSuite ERP system is a must.
• 6. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
• 7. Able to analyze financial records and transfer information.
• 8. Data-driven and highly analytical.
• 9. Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• 10. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• 11. High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
• 12. Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
• 13. Experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.
