Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an Operations Central Team Contamination Control Engineer to lead global strategies for preventing contamination and improving yield across the semiconductor network. You will standardize procedures, drive improvements, and apply AI-enabled analytics to accelerate problem solving while ensuring quality and reliability.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process/Equipment Engineering, and other partners to resolve issues, implement metrics, and support capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in contamination control or related semiconductor roles.
• Experience with problem-solving methods: FMEA, 8D, SPC, RCA.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects in wafer fabrication.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead global contamination control strategies to improve yield and quality.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Process, Equipment Engineering to resolve contamination issues.
• Standardize contamination control metrics and governance across sites.
• Drive capacity expansion and throughput improvements while maintaining quality.
• Develop AMC and environmental monitoring programs.
• Lead cross-site wafer transfers and carrier management programs.
• Use AI and automation to improve process monitoring and decision making.
