Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks an Operations Central Team Contamination Control Engineer to lead global contamination control initiatives that improve yield, reliability and capacity.

You will develop strategies, standardize procedures across sites, and drive data-driven problem solving using AI and automation. The role collaborates with Manufacturing, Process and Equipment Engineering, and QA teams worldwide, travels as needed, and champions measurable improvements in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in contamination control, process or manufacturing engineering in semiconductors.
• 5+ years applying problem-solving methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC, RCA).
• 5+ years leading cross-functional projects in wafer fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong English communication and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead global contamination control strategies and programs to improve manufacturing performance and quality outcomes.
• Partner with Manufacturing, QRA, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering to identify and resolve contamination-related issues impacting yield and reliability.
• Establish and communicate contamination control metrics and governance across sites.
• Drive strategies enabling capacity expansion, throughput improvements, and efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Develop and implement contamination prevention and monitoring programs for AMC, particles, metals, humidity, and temperature.
