Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Idaho seeks an OCT Contamination Control Engineer to lead global contamination control initiatives that enable world-class manufacturing quality and reliability.

You will develop and implement strategies, standardize procedures across sites, and drive improvements that reduce risk, improve yield, and support capacity expansion, while applying AI, advanced analytics, and automation to accelerate problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in Contamination Control, Process/Equipment/Manufacturing/ Yield Engineering or Semiconductor Operations.
• 5+ years applying problem-solving methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC, RCA, etc.).
• 5+ years leading cross-functional projects in wafer fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal English; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead global contamination control strategies to improve manufacturing performance and quality.
• Partner with Manufacturing, QRA, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering to resolve contamination issues affecting yield and reliability.
• Establish, standardize, and communicate contamination control metrics and governance across global sites.
• Drive strategies enabling capacity expansion, throughput, and efficiency while maintaining standards.
• Develop contamination prevention and monitoring programs for AMC, particles, humidity, and other factors.
• Lead cross-site wafer transfers, shipment processes, carrier management, and environmental control requirements.
• Manage strategic contamination control projects with objectives, resources, tracking, and leadership communication.
• Leverage AI, analytics, and automation to improve monitoring and data-driven decision making.
