Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Construction Manager for its Global Facilities Delivery organization to lead field construction execution on large-scale capital projects, including brownfield and greenfield sites. The role requires coordinating Lilly employees and contract leaders to achieve safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets.

You will manage the field execution budget, partner with legal and procurement on disputes, and ensure compliance with GMP where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience directly managing or overseeing multiple construction contractors or CM firms.
• Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Lilly employees and contract construction leaders to safely execute large-scale capital programs (> $200M USD).
• Hold accountability for field construction execution from detailed design through mechanical completion.
• Partner with legal, procurement, and other parties for disputes arising with contract construction teams.
• Own the field execution budget and capital spend, including cost forecasting and change management.
• Interface between field teams and program leadership, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GMP requirements where applicable, and regulatory frameworks.
