Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Data Services division seeks a Global Construction Environmental Program Manager to own and scale CEP across the AWS data center portfolio. You will drive standards, collaborate with regional teams, and integrate EMR with contractor agreements worldwide.

The role requires leading multi-region initiatives, engaging senior stakeholders, and delivering consistent environmental performance across AWS sites. Strong program-management expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs across waste, water, and air regulations.
• Experience coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in environmental management or construction programs.
• Strong understanding of environmental standards and ISO 14001 familiarity.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the global Construction Environmental Program, setting strategic direction, deliverables, goals, and metrics across all AWS regions.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Environmental Minimum Requirements (EMR) framework, integrated into General Contractor agreements globally.
• Lead regional CEP Program Managers in rolling out and maturing the program across regions, ensuring consistency of environmental standards across AWS sites.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers, Regional Environmental Engineers, AWS Environmental Legal, InfraOps, Design Engineering, Real Estate, and Procurement to manage projects effectively.
• Provide program-level oversight and strategic direction for AWS shell builds globally, working with Regional Environmental Engineers to assess projects and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure Root Cause Analyses and corrections are completed on time with cross-team implementation.
• Provide technical guidance to Regional Environmental Engineers, CEP Program Managers, and Construction Managers.
• Develop global documentation, templates, and SOPs; track and report program metrics to leadership.
