Expeditors International is seeking a Director, Global Legal Services (Compliance) to design and run the worldwide compliance program. Based in Bellevue, WA, you will advise executives and partner with Internal Audit and Finance on risk assessments and remediation.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, develop policies, and deliver role‑focused training while managing budgets and outside counsel. A strong regulatory background and global perspective are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate, licensed to practice and in good standing.
• 12+ years of legal experience with corporate compliance or investigations.
• Experience at top law firm or in-house legal department preferred.
• Strong integrity and leadership in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on compliance with international laws and regulations.
• Oversee internal investigations, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Lead compliance projects across internal stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver compliance training for employees and executives.
• Manage reports, budgets, and outside counsel.
• Travel 5% to 15% internationally.
