Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support execution of export/import compliance programs. You will assist with day-to-day compliance activities, recordkeeping, and escalation of potential concerns, serving as a knowledgeable resource for internal teams.

The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure compliant and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years with Expeditors or in trade-related roles.
• Working knowledge of import/export, customs, FTZ and related compliance requirements.
• Ability to complete compliance training and maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing and maintaining trade compliance procedures, work instructions, and internal controls.
• Review import/export, FTZ, and customs documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support monitoring activities, discrepancy tracking, corrective action follow-up, and reporting.
• Elevate potential compliance concerns to Trade Compliance leadership.
• Maintain organized compliance records in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits by gathering documents and validating corrective actions.
