Job summary

CSL Behring is seeking a Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence to guide strategic and tactical decisions with evidence-based insights. This role partners with Global CI, Market Insights, Forecasting, and cross-functional teams to shape commercialization and lifecycle strategies across inline and pipeline portfolios.

The position requires strong analytical skills, global perspective, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for senior management.

Qualifications

• BA or BS required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant business experience, incl. 5 years in CI, 2 years in advanced analytics, and 3+ years in secondary market research.
• Pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience required; global manufacturing experience preferred.
• Some travel required.
• Strong analytical capabilities with CI methodologies.
• Proven research skills to interpret and leverage insights from multiple sources.
• Ability to apply sound analytical techniques and validate information; advanced analytics a plus.
• Strategic thinker with long-range planning and future strategy contribution.
• Demonstrated experience across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with process design, systems management, and database management.
• Experience managing budgets and external CI vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supports the continued development and advancement of CI and integrates outputs into business decisions.
• Identifies and monitors industry drivers, risks, opportunities, and competitive threats for planning.
• Partners with TA/Brand teams, Insights & Analytics to define KITs/KIQs and intelligence plans.
• Triangulates and validates collected intelligence and related assumptions.
• Translates intelligence into timely insights and actionable recommendations.
• Leads CI programs in line with policies and ethics, including external vendors.
• Identifies threats and opportunities and advises on action planning and competitor response.
• Leverages internal knowledge to evaluate implications of threats and opportunities.
• Supports resource optimization and evolution of CI tools, platforms, and systems.
