Job summary

Wellington Management in Boston is seeking a Director, Global Compensation to lead the firm's worldwide compensation programs. You will partner with Total Rewards Leader and senior leadership to design, manage, and evolve base pay, bonuses, and benchmarking in alignment with our philosophy and culture.

You will oversee governance, analytics, and annual processes, build tools and dashboards for committees, and lead a global team.

Qualifications

  • Significant compensation experience within a complex global organization.
  • Expertise in compensation design, market benchmarking, pay structures, and annual processes.
  • Experience in investment management, financial services, a private partnership, or a similarly complex professional environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior leaders and navigate complex, sensitive compensation matters with credibility and discretion.
  • Proven people leadership experience with the ability to set direction, develop talent, and remain engaged in the work.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, ongoing evaluation, and execution of the firm's global compensation programs and practices in partnership with the Total Rewards Leader and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee base pay, bonus programs, compensation structures, market benchmarking, and related governance, ensuring programs remain competitive, consistent, and aligned with business needs.
  • Serve as the firm's senior compensation subject matter expert, advising senior leaders, HR, Finance, and managers on complex compensation decisions, including hiring, promotions, retention, and organizational changes.
  • Lead the annual compensation review, ensuring strong governance, clear stakeholder engagement, and accurate execution.
  • Advance compensation analytics and market insights to inform decision-making, internal equity, market positioning, workforce costs, and program effectiveness.
  • Provide effective tools and dashboards to our Compensation Committees to enhance their oversight of compensation outcomes.
