Qualifications

The Opportunity

This role is responsible for the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization's global total rewards programs. This position leads the design and management of compensation structures, incentive programs, executive compensation analyses, global mobility support, and employee benefit offerings across multiple countries.

The role serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders and HR partners, ensuring reward programs are competitive, equitable, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with the organization's business objectives and company values. This position utilizes market intelligence, workforce analytics, and industry best practices to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing global workforce, and partners closely with Finance, Payroll, People Leaders, and external benefit and compensation consultants to support organizational growth and employee engagement.

Summary of Responsibilities
Compensation Planning & Oversight
  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of global compensation programs.
  • Manage annual salary review, merit increase, and bonus planning processes.
  • Conduct market pricing analyses and benchmark positions against relevant compensation surveys.
  • Develop and maintain global salary structures, pay grades, and compensation frameworks.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to evaluate new positions, promotions, market adjustments, and internal equity considerations.
  • Provide compensation recommendations for acquisitions, organizational restructures, and international expansion initiatives.
  • Analyze compensation trends and prepare strategic recommendations for leadership.
Benefits Administration
  • Oversee the administration of global employee benefit programs, including:
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans
  • Retirement and savings programs
  • Paid leave programs
  • Wellness and employee assistance programs
  • Global mobility and expatriate support programs
  • Evaluate benefit offerings regularly to ensure competitiveness and value.
  • Lead annual benefits renewals, vendor negotiations, and open enrollment activities.
  • Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, carriers, and third-part administrators.
  • Monitor benefit utilization, costs, and employee satisfaction metrics.
  • Support the development of innovative and employee-centric benefit programs.
Workforce Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain compensation and benefits dashboards and reporting.
  • Analyze workforce trends including turnover, engagement, retention, and total rewards effectiveness.
  • Produce executive-level reporting and recommendations based on HR and compensation data.
  • Support budgeting and workforce planning processes with compensation forecasts and market intelligence.
  • Utilize HRIS, payroll, survey, and market data to inform business decisions.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable compensation, benefits, wage and hour, pay transparency, and employment regulations globally.
  • Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to total rewards programs.
  • Partner with legal counsel, payroll, and regional HR teams to address regulatory changes and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in audits and compliance reviews as required.
Communication & Employee Engagement
  • Create and deliver total rewards communications that improve employee understanding and engagement.
  • Develop compensation and benefits training materials for managers and employees.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and reinforce the organization's value-driven culture.
  • Partner with Talent Management and HR leadership to align rewards programs with performance, development, and succession strategies.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as the primary internal subject matter expert for compensation and benefits.
  • Consult with executives and people leaders on pay decisions, reward strategies, and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasts, and incentive plan funding.
  • Lead or participate in global HR projects, systems implementations, and process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
Experience
  • 8-10+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience.
  • Minimum 3 years supporting global or multinational organizations.
  • Experience administering compensation surveys and designing total rewards programs.
  • Experience with incentive compensation plans, salary structures, and benefits vendor management.
  • Experience working with ADP and reporting platforms.
Certifications
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional)
  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist)
  • SHRM-CP or PHR
  • Strong knowledge of global compensation and benefits practices.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and consulting skills.
