Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College is seeking a Coordinator of Global & Community Based Learning to lead high impact experiential learning, Study Away, Service Learning and CSST initiatives, while cultivating strategic partnerships with faculty and community organizations.

The role advances student belonging, intercultural competence, and career readiness through intentional experience design and ongoing assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant experience in higher education or related field.
• Experience managing complex programs and building partnerships.
• Experience with travel programs or service learning is a plus.
• Ability to manage budgets and use data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, assessment and improvement of experiential learning initiatives.
• Develop new programs and strategic initiatives aligned with Center mission.
• Design learning experiences promoting belonging, intercultural competence, civic responsibility.
• Coordinate Study Away, Service Learning, Community Engagement and CSST activities.
• Support faculty in planning study away experiences and manage stakeholder communications.
• Maintain partnerships with community organizations and external partners.
• Oversee administrative aspects, planning timelines, applications, scholarships, travel docs, and evaluations.
• Monitor budgets, scholarships, grants and program expenditures; report outcomes.
