Job summary

ExxonMobil Global Trading in Spring, TX is seeking commercial analysts to support our crude oil trading team throughout the deal life-cycle—from conception to realization. You will work in a dynamic, global trading environment and contribute to identifying opportunities across energy markets.

As part of a diverse team, you will monitor positions, develop dashboards and collaborate with risk, operations and schedulers to optimize outcomes and expand our trading capabilities.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any numerate subject including Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or Finance based qualification.
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, an entrepreneurial mind‑set and analytical/IT skills.
• Possess leadership skills and ability to influence business decisions in a multi‑cultural team environment.

Responsibilities

• Daily position monitoring, analysis and balancing within a given market.
• Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers.
• Lead resolutions with supporting back office functions.
• Identify commercial opportunities across the value chain including storage, gathering and long haul transportation agreements.
• Develop complex global and regional balances to inform trading opportunities.
• Develop and maintain live dashboards for technical and fundamental analysis.
• Evaluate routine trading economics.
• Prepare economics and documentation for term contracts and complex tenders, interfacing with risk control, operations, optimization, schedulers and other teams.
• Assist with special projects, testing and roll‑outs as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of trade execution processes.
• Monitor quality across gathering, storage and transportation assets.
• Provide support to supply chain schedulers.
