Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Market Risk Analyst for the Houston campus to monitor trading activities for compliance with Market Risk policies and to develop tools for Global Trading risk management. You will identify, measure, and report market risk, exposures, and margins for the Commercial portfolio.

You will collaborate with Global Trading teams and finance partners to ensure data integrity, develop risk limits, and deliver insightful market risk commentary.

Qualifications

• Market risk-focused role requiring daily monitoring of trading activities for risk and compliance.
• Strong ability to quantify exposures, margins, and risk at trade and portfolio levels.
• Experience partnering with front-office and global trading teams to manage risk and limits.

Responsibilities

• Act as Market Risk focal point for front-office and senior stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of regional price differences and market drivers.
• Create risk reports and provide insights to senior management.
• Validate data integrity and reconcile inconsistencies with traders.
• Develop and maintain risk analytics tools using Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and BI platforms.
• Support month/quarter/year-end closing processes.
