Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to support enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives across core commodity categories. You will drive end-to-end RFx processes, analyze markets, negotiate agreements, and improve cost competitiveness and supplier performance.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality and site Supply Chain teams to deploy global commodity strategies aligned with business needs and market conditions, including travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical capabilities with cost analysis, PPV, VA/VE, or should-cost analysis.
• Understanding of contract management principles, commercial terms, and supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of global supply markets and supply chain risk.
• Experience monitoring supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost and service metrics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; proficiency in Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes: supplier identification, market analysis, bid solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
• Support global sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation and license support.
• Identify and deliver cost-reduction opportunities through PPV, VA/VE, and should-cost analyses.
• Support development, negotiation and management of global supplier agreements.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities and ensure compliance with terms.
• Provide market intelligence and commodity insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain across sites.
