Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to drive strategic sourcing across core categories. The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and site Supply Chain teams to deploy global commodity strategies and improve cost competitiveness.

You’ll lead RFx processes, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor performance across quality, delivery, and cost while ensuring compliance with ITAR/EAR where applicable. This remote-friendly position supports Ontic’s worldwide operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within manufacturing.
• Experience managing RFx processes (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) and supplier negotiations.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and data analytics for cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes, including supplier identification and bid evaluation.
• Support global sourcing initiatives and supplier consolidation.
• Develop and refine global commodity strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities via PPV, VA/VE, and should-cost analyses.
• Support supplier agreement lifecycle and contract negotiations.
