Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Global Commodity Manager to lead strategic management of assigned commodities worldwide, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive supplier performance, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.

The role requires negotiating master agreements, defining commodity strategies, monitoring market trends, and ensuring procurement compliance. Travel 30–40% as needed; ERP/SAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier quality or operational management.
• Ability to travel 30%-40% of the time.
• Strong knowledge of different metal fabrication processes.
• Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements to obtain maximum value for each dollar of expenditure; focus on cost savings and payment term improvements.
• Champion material cost reduction initiatives and quarterly business reviews.
• Define and communicate the commodity strategy to all levels of the organization and suppliers.
• Recommend and implement strategic plans to reduce total cost of ownership and risk.
• Monitor technology transitions and life-cycle roadmaps for related industries.
• Ensure procurement compliance with regulations and standard practices.
• Evaluate current and new suppliers to improve service levels and total cost.
• Optimize supply chain lead times from suppliers to customers.
• Participate in cross-functional teams on quality, price, inventories and material availability.
• Report on supplier and commodity market analysis.
• Participate in supplier quality audits and maintain supplier scorecards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
