Job summary

Watts in Menomonee Falls, WI seeks a seasoned supply chain professional to develop and manage procurement strategies for direct materials. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive cost reductions, and shape sourcing across multiple sites while coordinating with product management, engineering, manufacturing, finance and quality.

Travel up to 20% is required. The role reports to the Global Commodity Manager and focuses on achieving the lowest total cost of ownership through strategic supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years’ supply chain experience, preferably in a multi-plant manufacturing environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, technical data and product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop supply chain strategies to reduce/minimize investment in direct materials.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and meet objectives.
• Lead assigned productivity projects using Bradley Operating System tools to deliver results.
• Lead corporate strategy for assigned commodity & spend groups and suppliers across locations.
• Coordinate with local buyers/planners to develop sourcing strategies and cost reductions.
• Travel to Bradley facilities and supplier sites for meetings, development activities, negotiations and audits as needed.
• Develop strategies to leverage volume across sites to maximize total cost of ownership.
• Identify and select new sources of supply to meet needs.
• Generate and evaluate new ideas and opportunities.
• Support new product development by sourcing components.
• Prioritize projects and resources across product management, engineering, manufacturing, finance and quality.
• Evaluate suppliers and explore alternatives to meet business needs.
• Develop supply agreements and contracts with suppliers for short-, mid-, and long-term needs.
• Deliver the lowest total cost for goods with flexibility for organizational changes.
• Maintain records for purchasing, feeding information to accounting, sales and production.
