Job summary

Accommodations Plus International is seeking a Senior Director of Cloud Infrastructure & Technical Operations to lead global, hands-on cloud and network engineering efforts. You will set AWS governance, drive multi-account designs, network architecture, and DevOps practices while partnering with business leadership.

The role requires deep AWS expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to scale distributed teams across time zones and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead globally distributed technical operations teams across time zones and cultures.
• Define team structure, roles, and career paths for cloud engineers, network engineers, SREs, and DevOps practitioners.
• Serve as the technical escalation point and mentor for cloud and network engineers; participate in architecture reviews and incident response.
• Set goals, KPIs, and performance expectations; provide ongoing coaching.
• Collaborate with HR to recruit and retain top technical talent across global locations.
• Collaborate with product engineering, security, data, and business teams to integrate operating requirements into the SDLC.
• Own AWS governance, system reliability, cost management, and DR planning; drive multi-region and multi-account strategies.
• Architect and own the AWS network design, including multi-account/multi-VPC topologies, DNS, edge, and traffic management.
• Define infrastructure as code standards and CI/CD-driven change; conduct Well-Architected reviews.
