Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Engineering to lead a remote, full-time team driving multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. The role emphasizes building IaC with Terraform, maturing CI/CD pipelines, and enhancing observability and reliability across services.

You'll guide a high-performing engineering group, shape architecture for resilience, and implement incident response and disaster recovery practices, all within a remote, 10-40 hours/week commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production infrastructure.
• Experience leading engineering teams in high-growth environments.
• Deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or multi-cloud production environments.
• Proficient with Terraform, Kubernetes, containers, and modern CI/CD platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Lead and grow an Infrastructure/Platform Engineering team.
• Build infrastructure as code using Terraform for reproducible environments.
• Design and improve CI/CD systems for reliable software delivery.
• Build observability across metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Define and drive reliability practices including incident response and disaster recovery.
