Job summary

CSL Behring is seeking a senior Clinical Development professional to lead theClinical Development Team (CDT) in Waltham, MA. You will guide cross-functional teams, develop and maintain the CDP, and ensure regulatory compliance and high scientific standards.

You will drive decision making, collaborate with internal and external experts, and present outcomes to governance committees. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expert communication in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD or PharmD in life science/healthcare required.
• MD - Board Certified (or non-USA equivalent) in relevant field preferred.
• Extensive clinical development pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience with regulatory development knowledge.
• 3+ years of clinical development experience in pharma/clinical study environment.
• Demonstrated program leadership capabilities in a matrix environment.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills including risk mitigation.
• Proficient in project management terminology and processes to drive clinical development program risk mitigation strategies.
• Proven analytical thinking and scientific/medical writing skills.
• Proficient in clinical data analysis and interpretation.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills.
• Builds bridges and proactively improves cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Clinical Development Team (CDT) with clinical program leadership across cross-functional partners.
• Provide leadership and guidance to CDT; maintain Clinical Development Plan (CDP) alignment with PST and TALT.
• Integrate internal and external expert contributions to strategy and design of assigned programs.
• Ensure alignment across stakeholders before key decision forums (SDC/STRC).
• Ensure program adherence to CSL Behring processes, GCP and ICH regulations.
• Drive decision making, issue resolution, escalation and contingency planning within CDT.
