Job summary

Wellspring Advisors, LLC in Washington, DC is seeking an intern to support the Global Children’s Rights (GCR) and International Children’s Education (ICE) Programs. This paid, full-time internship offers hands-on research, policy support, and administrative duties in our Dupont Circle office.

Ideal candidates bring coursework in international development or human rights, strong English writing and communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Qualifications

• Coursework in international development, human rights, or related field.
• Volunteer or work experience in nonprofits or human rights is preferred.
• Experience living or working in sub-Saharan Africa is a plus but not required.
• Fluency in English and excellent written/verbal communication skills expected.
• Strong analytic, research, and organizational skills required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research projects focused on international children’s rights and education.
• Assist with creation of PowerPoint presentations and informational materials.
• Attend field-related events in Washington, DC, take notes, and report back to the team.
• Track and compile relevant current events.
• Support staff in planning and logistics of travel and meetings.
• Perform administrative tasks as requested (note-taking, file-organizing, editing).
• Gain knowledge of international children’s rights and education activism in East Africa and globally.
• Learn operations of a grantmaking organization.
