Wellspring Philanthropic Fund in Washington, DC seeks a Program Director to lead the Global Children’s Rights program through its next phase of impact. The role will manage strategy, grantmaking, and external relationships, reporting to the President and VP.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in international NGO/foundation work, global experience (Africa, Latin America, US), and a commitment to gender equity. Salary ranges from $210,000 to $250,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience with an international NGO or foundation.
• Experience in Africa, Latin America, and the US; focus on girls preferred.
• Proven ability to build relationships with advocates, funders, grantees and donors.
• Cultural competence, respect, open-mindedness, strong listening skills.
• Effective public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and globally up to 25%.
• Discretion handling confidential donor information.
• Commitment to Wellspring values: humility and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide values and culture alignment across the program.
• Develop and implement multi-year strategic plans and reports.
• Present and explain funding proposals and ensure strategy execution.
• Oversee grantmaking and ensure adherence to budgets and processes.
• Engage with grantees, coordinate site visits, proposals, and evaluation.
• Build relationships with communities, donors, and partners.
• Lead the four-person team and collaborate with Wellspring leadership.
