Job summary

Amazon seeks a Category Manager to own and strategically source goods and services globally across Worldwide Operations for the Global Procurement Organization. You will lead category strategy, negotiate with suppliers, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver savings and optimize the supply chain.

The role emphasizes modernizing procurement through AI and automation, driving efficiency, and expanding spend coverage at scale across the GPO.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL knowledge.
Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
Experience with program management spanning planning, execution and project delivery.

Responsibilities

Establish global category sourcing strategies; lead cross-functional sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize contracts.
Collaborate with business teams and procurement functions to manage category sourcing across the enterprise.
Act as a market intelligence provider for the category and inform stakeholders on market shifts and opportunities.
Reimagine procurement end-to-end using AI and automation to eliminate high-friction steps and accelerate sourcing.
