Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Category Manager to own and strategically source goods globally across Worldwide Operations for the Global Procurement Organization. You will set category strategy, lead cross-functional sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver savings and risk mitigation.

You will modernize procurement through AI and automation, expand spend coverage, and drive standardization at scale while aligning with senior leadership on key imperatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL experience.
• Experience using data/metrics to drive process improvements.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across levels.
• Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, and financial analysis.
• Proven program management across planning, execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Establish global category sourcing strategies; lead cross-functional teams; negotiate and implement contracts to optimize Amazon's position across Worldwide Operations.
• Collaborate with business teams and procurement functions (finance, legal, ops) to manage supplier relationships and drive value.
• Act as a market intelligence provider; inform stakeholders of shifts, licensing changes, and emerging suppliers.
• Reimagine procurement with AI and automation to streamline steps like intake, research, review, renewal tracking, and spend analysis.
• Pilot AI workflows, measure impact, and drive adoption across the GPO organization.
