Job summary

Laborie seeks a Category Lead to shape and execute global category strategies, ensuring a resilient supplier base aligned with business goals. You will drive sourcing initiatives, assessments, and negotiations across operations, engineering, R&D, and quality to create sustainable value.

You will partner with finance, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain leadership to align decisions with priorities, accelerate innovation, and improve supply continuity through strategic supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, or related field.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing and implementing category strategies in complex global organizations.
• Proven experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives and complex supplier negotiations.
• Extensive experience managing supplier relationships, supplier performance programs, and contract negotiations.
• Strong understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and procurement best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global multi-year category strategies aligned with growth, operations, and procurement objectives.
• Conduct market intelligence, supplier assessments, benchmarking, and spend analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
• Build category roadmaps focused on cost optimization, supplier innovation, continuity, sustainability, and risk.
• Lead supplier identification, market assessments, RFI/RFQ/RFP development, and supplier evaluation/selection.
• Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships to improve performance, quality, and value.
• Lead SRM activities, including quarterly and executive reviews.
• Develop negotiation strategies and plans aligned with objectives.
• Deliver annual cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity initiatives.
